Workforce1 has partnered with Women In Need to fill Case Manager/Substance Abuse & Behavioral Disorder Counselor, Assistant Teacher, and Recreational Coordinator positions. CASE MANAGER/SUBSTANCE ABUSE & BEHAVIORAL DISORDER QUALIFICATIONS: • B.A. in Human Services or a related field (BSW preferred) • Minimum of 1 year social service experience or approved equivalent • Familiarity with substance abuse, child abuse, and working with homeless families • Familiarity with social service settings and WEP procedures, entitlement systems and procedures and experience with standardized assessment tools • Experience in leading group activities and developing group curriculum • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment • Good computer skills are very helpful; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required • A background check will be conducted ASSISTANT TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma • Ability to work with children of diverse backgrounds; experience with homeless population preferred • Past experience in professional childcare and classroom environments RECREATIONAL COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate’s degree and 2 years’ experience providing educational/recreational activities for homeless families, or a High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience providing recreational activities for homeless families • One year of supervisory experience • CPR/First Aid Certification • Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact in a supportive and nurturing manner with both children and parents Interested candidates must attend a screening interview at 12 p.m. at the Brooklyn Workforce1 Career Center [10 Grand Army Plaza, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11238] on one of the following dates: • Tuesday, January 13 • Thursday, January 15 • Friday, January 16 **Please come with valid photo ID, multiple copies of your résumé, and dressed professionally**
