Working #16 tonight...then one more tomorrow night. Home on Friday. I wont be home for Thanksgiving, but there are so many things I am thankful for. The past 365 days has brought so much change in our lives. My oldest son got to come back home being the biggest thing, Im so thankful for him. We got in our new house in July, extremely thankful for that. In the process of mending a broken relationship with a dear family member. Thankful for a loyal wife that I can trust to take care of everything at home for weeks at a time, being both mom and dad to little kids I know has to be very trying at times. I have two wonderful little boys still living at home that are such a blessing and I cant wait to get back home to them and get em in a duck blind together for the first time. Thankful for the veterinarians that removed 98% of the cancer in my lab Sally-Dawg. Shes the only daughter Ill ever have and Im so thankful shes at home recovering right now. Thankful for the job I have--back in May/June my future here was questionable (in my mind only) as the company I work for was going through a change and I didnt know what the future was going to hold, but thankfully it is all working out like I was promised it would. I lost some loved ones this year, my wifes grandfather, a Captain that I have known for a few years, an uncle that taught me so much growing up...I dont deserve this life I live, just so thankful to be able to wake up in it every day.
