Working an all-niter side by side with a young and very sharp engineer this week when someone asked me how long Id been working at the mill. Me - 23 years at the end of this month. Young engineer - ! 23 years? Me - Yes, why is that so funny? Young engineer - That is longer than Ive been alive. Ha Ha he he. Me - I used to work all night like you when I was young. It looks good on your permanent record. Look where it got me. Young engineer - working an all-niter? Lesson - Good jobs are hard to find.
