Working for Jones this past 3 months has certainly taught me a whole lot about management on such a big scale. Ive learnt loads about business and basic accounting, the pressure to meet huge sale targets and stratigies to get there. Ive learnt how important networking is and how to poach staff the right way, that being a good manager is more than about having passion and solving problems. Most importantly its re enforced my belief that the most important part of managing is treating your staff with respect and giving them a reason to want to be at work. That ruling by fear will get you no where and that to improve the business you first have to believe in it. Im so sad that jones has turned into such a soulless bully with zero regard for the amazing people on the floor giving this place their whole life. =(
