Working for a rapidly increasing division of one of the worlds leading automotive first tier manufacturers. The role will require an experienced press toolmaker to repair and maintain production tools. The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained with a HNC / ONC and skilled within press tool making. Commutable from: Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot, Carmarthen Salary: £ 24,000 - £ 27,000 p.a. + over time + benefits Suitable for: Toolmaker, Tooling Engineer, Tooling Technician The Role Ensure the repair and maintenance of production tools is carried out in line with production needs. Modify tools as required by business or customer request. Produce new tools, moulds and jigs in line with project and business objectives. Test and confirm electrical and hydraulic / pneumatic operation of tools before return to production. Maintain the highest standard of workmanship at all times. Record all relevant data pertaining to tooling. Active involvement in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives. The Person You will ideally be an apprentice-served Toolmaker, preferably with an ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in press tooling.
