Working late tonight (6:30), and on the pager again tomorrow. So it’s going to be mostly staying inside, at least until Sunday. Maybe it’s because I’ve been trying to eat healthy this week, but I’ve got such a craving for MEAT, MEAT, MEAT. So, tonight will be a beef and pork pie; and since pager days are slow-cooking days, tomorrow I’ll be preparing a pot of Brazilian feijoada for the neighbors. I’ve made this dish before, but it’s been at least a year or so. Basically, when you hear “Brazilian,” think “pork with lots of fat.” If you want to die of cholesterol poisoning, just gorge yourself on Brazilian meat dishes. The ingredients for feijoada: Black beans, chorizo sausage, pork shoulder, beef short ribs, ham hock... Hogzone will be pleased.
