Working my way through Julia Gillards My Story. On one hand, its a good read, has some terrific insights into the workings of governments, oppositions and some scathing analysis of Kevin Rudd, Simon Crean and Bob Carr. Its a lot more human than John Howards Lazarus Rising, some would say theres a reason for that. On the other hand, she does not talk about her mistakes as PM, and there were quite a few, and its self-serving. Then again, why would else would a politician or ex-politician, write a book? Not a bad book, with some reservations.
