Working on a big video project is like carving an intricate piece of wood work. At first you just got hours and hours of footage which is like a big piece of lumber and turning it into anything resembling a piece of art just seems overwhelming. But you push that feeling aside and get to widdling and carving, slowly cutting out what you dont need until your start to see the vague resemblance of what the final product might be. So you keep cutting and trimming it down further and further until finally 4-5 hours of footage turns into a 5-10 minute clip you can actually use for something.
