Working on editing a couple tracks from a video shoot last - TopicsExpress

Working on editing a couple tracks from a video shoot last weekend..... Would have been MUCH easier if the people I showed the cameras to several times had of at least made an attempt to not to stand right in front of them, or worse, knock them over, but it narrowed the choices down considerably on which ones Ill likely bother with putting the time into editing, so not sure if I should thank em or curse em at this point. Add the people who for some reason think having their hand in the shot playing air guitar at every possible moment is gonna make the shot look cool, instead of just pull everything out of focus....and suddenly 4 cameras just doesnt seem to be enough to capture a band anymore....at least not from the crowd. Its too bad...... all 3 bands were awesome and I WOULD have had enough angles to put a decent video of their entire set..... but instead Ill probably just pick a track or 2 of each and either cover it up with dissolves and creative editing, or just post the roaming cam footage unedited, since I can at least move around most the obstacles I can see while shooting. I wouldnt bother writing this rant, if one of them hadnt actually stopped me before I left and said they were looking foreward to seeing the video on YouTube in the morning...... was there something on your back you needed to see that only a video would show? Heres an example.....this took pretty much ALL day to sync, and then edit as much of the ruined footage out, which was pretty much anything on the sides even after pointing out and asking the people who were standing in front of them to move over 6 inches ..... but that didnt work that well. In the beginning there are too many edits while I try to find a 2nd camera angle not being blocked, and use a lot of fuzzy wide shots instead of the medium shots we setup for. In the end I just got tired of trying to edit out shots of backs, shoulders, drinks and hands and used mostly the camera on a stick video, with the audio from all 4 cameras blended to try and make it at least sound half decent. Not sure of the title, but this is Chaos Theorys opening song of the night
