Working on my assignment Im reading an article on Barnes & Noble and how they will be out of business soon if they dont step it up with e-books. How sad. I love B&N. People need to read actual books more often! Technology has taken a dump on our ethics seriously! Our kids will never ever know the struggles we went through. I remember staying up until 1 a.m. reading a great book with a little lamp attached to my book. Squinting being so tired but not putting the book down until I was done! Kids will never know the smell of a brand new book or have their parents sit with them in bed while reading them a book and they do their part by turning the pages. Sliding the screen on an e-book is NOT the same! We are so blind to technology these days and it makes me sick to think about what the future will hold for our kids!! Publishers like my friend Siobhan Isaac Will never be able to charge full price for their hard work because e-books are also sold at a minimum price. Its sad! We need to keep our past in the present! Listen to your favorite radio station!!! Keep your djs on the radio, your books in your hands, legos in your kids hands and out of video games and stop being so germ a fobe! Let your kids RUN, PLAY AND GET DIRTY!!! We slid in the mud, played war with black cats and army men, and played tackle football with the boys on the street!! I have battle scars but I am here!! I am fine and your kids will be too!! Giving them everything isnt the answer!!! Give them less so that they too can look back and say they lived! Before we know it we will have no need to go out at all. We are blind and cant see past this era of technology. We are losing people! Its time to wake up and pick up the veil over our eyes!
