Working on some stuff for my Precision Nutrition Level 2 course and loved this part of a lesson. :-) G-Flux was Dr. John Berardi’s way of expressing relationship between the amount of energy you ingest through your diet and the amount of energy you burn through the sum total of your metabolic activity. Research on athletes also shows that when active people eat more and train more, that increased exercise volume and frequency improves nutrient partitioning: - More calories go toward muscle growth and/or energy provision. - Fewer calories go to fat cells. - Insulin sensitivity and protein turnover also increase. Activity-directed nutrient partitioning ensures that the food we eat is directed to the right places. ****In other words, the more we move, the better our nutrition works for us.****
