Working on the Disneyland Railroad has many blessings. While waiting for my train at Main Street Station for my last trip of the day a couple walked in. They were wearing shirts that had a picture of a train and a name Kai. Above the train it said Choo Choo. I asked them about it and they told me it was a dedication to a little boy Kai who had recently passed away. Kai loved trains and they had come to ride the train in his memory! I was deeply touched! I had them wait on the bench inside and when the next train came in I escorted them to the engine and introduced them to the engineers and got them the front seat of car #301. This happened to be my train and as rear conductor I made the spiel. It started out Welcome aboard the Disneyland Railroad. This Grand Circle tour is dedicated to Kai...... I did everything I could think of to make it a special trip and when it was over and I was to go home I went to the front and found them again. I had them wait and I got the some Lillybelle tickets. I punched one for each of them and one for Kai! Im pretty sure it was a great memory for them and Im grateful I had that opportunity which I dont think you can get anywhere else.
