Workout: Ran outside in support to the “Million People March” Good evening from Manila! As promised yesterday, I joined the Million People March this afternoon at 12:30pm. I ran barefoot the long stretch of Roxas Boulevard to Luneta Park then had a few rounds inside the park. I stopped at the KM 0 where the monument of Dr. Jose Rizal is erected and greeted him in celebration of the National Heroes Day and asked him to guide our leaders, a safe gathering for the participants and good weather for the day. The gathering was successful and full of colorful banners participated by various groups and individuals. Fuel before the workout: coffee, sandwich and water Strengthening fuel along the way and recovery drink: boiled sweet corn, beer and water Strengthening workout: 70 pushups and 70 squats Recovery meal: cup of rice, ginataang kalabasa with sitaw and fried tilapia Quote of the day: “The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws.” ~ Tacitus Photo feature: View along Roxas Boulevard and at Luneta Park Million People March
