World Record 116 days hunger strike by Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt: Jatindra Nath Das(HSRA Member) is the only person who died fasting in Indian Independence Movement. He died in Lahore jail after a continuous hunger strike for 63 days. The world record for hunger strike is in the name of Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt, they fasted for record 116 days in Lahore jail….. Jatindra Nath Das is not a congress leader he is a member of Hindustan Socialist Republican Association… No congress leader had died in Indian Independence Struggle……. The longest fast undertook by MohanDas karamchand Gandhi just lasted for 21 days in Delhi….not in a jail
