World Trail Last week, Grant Suckling, Gerard McHugh and Glen Jacobs arrived in North East Tasmania to inspect a proposed MTB destination. The township of Derby, only 1.5 hours from Launceston is set to become one of the latest and unique ride destinations in Australia. The World Trail design team was asked to come up with a huge trail network which would encompass all that Derby has to offer. Massive rideable granite gorges, boulder ranges and even a disused underground tunnel link were mapped within the 60 klm loops, including the possibility of a 38klm shuttle-able gravity trail which ends at a great 100 year old pub in town. Everybody involved in the design were taken back by the entire natural beauty of the region.
