World Vision Burundi joined and supported the celebration of the International Malaria Day which is celebrated each 25 of April. In Burundi, that day was celebrated on the 30th. The celebration started by the inauguration of Magara health facility in Magara commune of rural Bujumbura. Dr Sabine Ntakarutimana, Burundi Minister of health who represented the Government of Burundi thanks all stakeholders and asks them to continue support Burundi because much still needs to be done in the fight against Malaria. “Even though the under-five deaths reduced from 36 % in 2005 to 21% in 2012, those children dying from Malaria are still many” Dr Sabine said in her speech.
