World Wide Web invented by cats says Plumbridge academic. A top computers expert working at the Meenacrane Institute of Technology has uncovered evidence which reveals that the World Wide Web was designed by a secret group of cat scientists working in a cardboard box behind your sofa during the 1980s. Professor Norman Gorman, who previously found fame when he announced that dogs invented car windows, believes that the cats were becoming increasingly concerned at the rising popularity of so called new pets like gerbils, terrapins and chinchillas during the 1980s. Fearful that they might be sidelined, the cats hit on the idea of inventing a way of allowing computer users to access videos of them doing cute things like getting stuck in boxes, jumping on other cats and wearing hats. According to the Professor at any given time 43 percent of the worlds population is looking at a video of an amusing cat, whilst a further 12% are filming their cat getting up to stuff. Up until the release of Professor Gormans report everyone thought the World Wide Web was invented by English scientist Tim Berners Lee, however when went round to interview him we were told he was at the vets.
