The history which was beaming with legacy, which was bursting with emotions and yet had to add the most Beautiful chapter to the Game. As history unfolded over an epochal pulsating month, as teams unleashed every sinew, every breath, every urge but to attain Glory, billions joined them, with that fervent prayer, with that feverish pitch, silently egging them on, passionately cheering them on. They smiled, we rejoiced, they collapsed, we cried, they were on the verge, we were on the precipice. The Champions were ridiculed, the hosts were humiliated, and dreams were ground into dust. Where every seven was a dagger right through the heart of the belief, where every seven was an additional stream of sadness oozing out disbelief and despair, where the hosts cried a collective tear joined in by me and all others who swear by the canary yellow, and wonder where did the joga bonito disappear in the yellow pages of time. As history pens the Beautiful present tonight with that one last kick of the Ball, it will not only create that euphoria which will echo out over the days, but will create that eerie silence, that humbling suffer, that sadness. As the greatest party on earth settles down, the hangover for the #BeautifulGame will always linger on!!!!
