Worrying is carrying tomorrows load with todays strength--carrying - TopicsExpress

Worrying is carrying tomorrows load with todays strength--carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. -Corrie ten Boom, clippings from My Notebook **All too often in life I find myself worrying about things that are not of this day. As Corrie points out, worrying about the unknown today is a DOUBLE NEGATIVE - - it has no real benefit for tomorrow, and it tends to negatively affect us in our present circumstances. Focusing our time and energy outside of the present moment keeps us blind to the beauty that surrounds us IN THE NOW. • Am I concerned with potential problems and troubles I may encounter in the future? • Do I sometimes feel disconnected from the lives of those who are most important to me because something more pressing is on my mind? It does nothing but waste my present opportunity. I find it a bit ironic how tomorrows worries are what usually tends to draw me away from the duties of today. I believe its good to have plan of attack! But without sacrificing the moment. Solve all your little problems as they come, and the big ones will sort themselves out ;-) ♡ FOR FURTHER THOUGHT: Despite all the doom and gloom that constantly assaults our senses, there is a way for us to ransom our lives and reclaim our futures: ♢It consists in turning away from the world to recognize what in life makes us truly happy. ♢For each of us, what that is will be different. But once we obtain this inner knowledge, we will possess the ability to transform our outer world. You can live a lifetime and, at the end of it, know more about other people than you know about yourself, the pilot and writer Beryl Markham reminds us. We cannot let this continue to occur. ~Sarah Ban Breathnach KNOW THYSELF! ;-)
