Worship (5 minutes) Glorious Day – https://youtube/watch?v=KqrqPGt11bA Confess (3 minutes) Spend time confessing specific knownsins and ask God to reveal sins you might not be aware of. Advent Preparation (1 minute) Proverbs 29 Pray for Church and Lives (3 minutes) This week is our transition, between years and between message series. This past Sunday we were reminded that as much as Jesus came the first time in a manger that one day soon He will come again. Pray this week that FHBC will live with a bifocal outlook – one eye on doing the right thing today and the other on the sky anticipating Jesus’ return. Your row-mates. Each week most of our worshippers sit in the same spot. Spend time praying for those who usually sit around you. Pray that they would grow in holiness and in hatred toward sin. Consider contacting them this week to let them know you look forward to seeing them on Sunday. Scripture Memory (3 minutes) – 1 Peter 1:3, 1 Peter 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” Monday - Daily Reading and Prayer Focus (15 minutes) Bible Reading- Titus 2:11 Today’s Question- what is another name for the coming of Jesus Christ? What did He bring when Jesus came the first time? Have you received it? How do you know? Who do you know needs to receive it? How can you help them receive it? Local: Police – All around the country police offers are being targeted while they are in the middle of protecting us. Praytoday for our law enforcement officers. Pray for their safety, their wisdom, and their families. When you see one, thank them for what they do (Romans 13) Country- World Leaders - Good and just rulers to be raised up. In many instances in history, God has used rulers, whether believers or not, to accomplish His purposes on Earth, for example Cyrus in the Persian Empire. Neither the collapse of Communism nor the spread of democratic governmental systems has ended tyrannies, autocratic power-seekers or corrupt, greedy dictators. Pray that those who are unfit to rule their lands may repent and change (as did Nebuchadnezzar) – or be removed (as were Pharaoh and Belshazzar). Those who face major crises. The challenges facing 21st-Century leaders are of an altogether different nature from those of even 50 years ago. As the world becomes more interconnected, crises of many kinds – economic, political, ecological, demographic, military and others – trouble our nations with accelerating frequency. Pray for courage to make right decisions, however unpopular. Compromise of ideals and failure to take decisive action in order to maintain popularity or power are ever-present temptations.
