Advent Preparation (1 minute) Proverbs 20 Pray for Church and Lives (3 minutes) During our “Big Questions” study Sunday we took an up close look at the reliability of the Bible. We discovered why the fulfilled prophecies, unity, historical/archaeological evidence, in addition to the testimony of Jesus, lay a thick foundation for our Christian faith. Pray this week that FHBC would grow in deeper reliance upon the Bible. Pray that we would have an insatiable desire to know it and apply it to our life. Pray this week for our ongoing work in Haiti. Pastor Brian resumed teaching Pastors in Haiti last Saturday (3rd &4th of each month). Several people are preparing to head back there this summer to minister to the people of Cap-Haitien. Pray for our efforts to make an eternal impact upon the people. Pray for financial and additional resources that will be needed to continue our efforts. Praise God for: a) Great evangelists and missionary statesmen who touched the world (Finney, Moody, Billy Graham and others). b) The immeasurable effects of writers, speakers, pastors and trainers on the global body of Christ, through training, teaching, discipling and empowering. c) Unstinting generosity in giving financially to good causes – especially mission advances. Pray that godly North Americans might continue to engage with the needs of the world in a humble, passionate and informed way. Hollywood’s portrayal of American life is a perversion of the values that made the USA a great nation.
