Would anyone care to address free will with me today? Although it - TopicsExpress

Would anyone care to address free will with me today? Although it seems I am labeled atheist by most standards, in that I only accept the possibility of a creator (based on the lack of scientific evidence so far,) I seem to stand alone among atheists in my belief that even in the absence of a creator, that free will is not an illusion. Why is it that free will seems to be contingent upon there being a creator? I understand how free will helps to strengthen theist arguments, but even so, is that really a reason to dismiss it as an illusion? Has the evidence for free will being an illusion gone beyond hypothesis yet?
