Would be remiss if it wasnt said how much we appreciate LACCA being so helpful in providing us with lots of items that will aid us in serving people. They had amassed numerous items to be used on Tuesday, January 28 as an attempt to get an accurate count of sheltered vs. unsheltered homeless was conducted. This of course was in the midst of astronomically frigid conditions in which most upright individuals were staying inside where it was safest. So, no one came out of their locations to be counted as homeless. Therefore, items were not given out, but are now at ODB to be provided to so many that do come in to our location to receive a meal. They will now also receive some clothing, blankets, hats, and mittens, good cooked meals and other essentials that were part of what was provided. This is how community takes care of community - together.
