Would it be a good thing if humans evolved telepathy? Or if we used technology to implement it? Think about it - there would never be any misunderstandings. No-one could ever say to another person You dont understand how I feel. We would be able to fully communicate with each other and not a thought or feeling would be hidden from each other. No-one could lie or deceive you. No-one could say they love you unless they meant it, because you would know. Bankers and politicians couldnt rob the world because their intentions would be known to everyone. Wed never have the privacy of our own thoughts like we do now, which is about the only place in this world that we have any privacy left - in our own minds. We do take that privacy for granted most of the time. You can have a thought in your head right now and not anyone in the entire world knows about it. Would we ever want to give that up?
