Would just like to share an experience I had leaving Melbourne on Saturday night. New Indonesian regulations - you must have an outbound ticket on arrival into Indonesia. If you have a visa in your passport ie Kitas or Kitap there is no issue. However my daughter is dual Australian/Indonesian traveling on an Australian passport with the small card that states she is also an Indonesian citizen. Australia would not accept this as proof as it was written in Indonesian language. With much dispute we were allowed on board but many tourists were denied and had to purchase an outbound ticket. I will make her Indonesian passport and carry both in future. The other thing I was told that could be carried as proof was any documentation of the dual citizenship officially translated to English. This service is available in Bali. These rules changed 1 week before I returned. I was only in Vic for 2 weeks. Hope I save someone the hassles I had leaving Australia. Australia are just following new guidelines set by Indonesia. ..
