Would like to inform the public that the Cancer council qld innisfail branch is NO LONGER collecting aluminium cans and batteries. As most know, we collected these items for money which in turn was donated to the Cancer Council. Our decision to cease doing this is because..... 1- a lot of hard work collecting from around the area and having to sort through the rubbish that people throw in to the bag. 2- driving the collection all the way to Townsville. 3-not getting paid much at all. A huge thank you to Doug & Bruna who have been doing this service for many years now. Its time to take a little rest (you deserve it!). And thank you to all those people that donated their cans and batteries over the years.
