Would love to experience this some day. Probably never will this lifetime, though. This was supposed to be how I started my career. I reported to Marine OCS in Quantico with an air guarantee in February 77. After that I went to the 5 month Officers Basic Course. A month before I graduated from that, I got stung by a wasp and turned out to be severely allergic. (Anaphylactic shock... almost died) so I was dropped from the pilot training program. Tried to get in two more times, but no joy. So I ended up flying a Steadicam. Not a bad second choice. Been a fun ride so far. At this point I wouldnt trade it for any other job!
