Would not mind having a dollar for every post that has "where did the time go" in it. Saw yet another "study" that says we cannot admonish our kids, discipline our kids, or hold our kids accountable for their actions for fear of turning them into self-loathing psychopaths. I think that we do more damage to them, and society as a whole, by teaching them to be victims. Teach your kids that there are consequences to their choices. Right or wrong. Good or bad. Productive or destructive. Teach them to hold themselves accountable, which leads to being responsible. Holding our kids accountable is not the problem. Not teaching them to believe in themselves is.
