Would parents now a days stop trying to put fairness into sports, this is where values are instilled into your children. If you teach a child it is okay to lose, you are teaching them how not to work hard to acheive what they want in life. The goal is to be the best, when they get out of adolescence the world is all about competing for jobs, education, and even for significant others. So when you allow your kids to be okay with losing you are setting them up for failure, not allowing them to grasp the ideal of working hard to get what you want in life. Come on people is this how your parents would teach you to be? Why treat your children any different.
