Would you deliberately starve yourself? We all know that starvation will ultimately lead to death. Having said that, no one in their right mind would do such a thing right?Unfortunately many, not knowingly, do it on a daily basis. We therefore are out of our minds and are considered crazy If this proves to be true. What do I mean by this? We have our bodies that must be fed in order to live. Our physical body, and our spiritual body both need nourishment. The latter of greater value in the end. We must learn what God requires of us so that we can live with Him in the end. He is so ready for us to trust in Him so that He can bless us beyond our imagination. He begs us to test Him to see if that is true. God must be served in the first place; and the interest of our souls ought to be preferred before that of our bodies. Let them trust God to provide for their comfort. God has blessings ready for us, but through the weakness of our faith and the narrowness of our desires, we have not room to receive them. He who makes trial will find nothing is lost by honouring the Lord with his substance. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. (Malachi 3:10 NIV) Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12 NIV) How can we be prepared to fight unless we have strength and where do we get our strength from except from nourishment? Lets stop allowing our gladiator physical body kick sand in our puny malnutrition spiritual bodys face. Both are important. Just something to think about everyday when God wakes us up from our slumber. He is ready for us to know Him better so that we can be blessed.
