Would you like to be an accredited Youth Coach? The Learning Institute in Kosovo has 25 full scholarships worth €3,000 each for 25 amazing people … After an incredible few days in April this year, Harry Singha will be returning to Kosovo at the end of August to deliver some more amazing workshops. In addition to his one day ‘Essential Coaching Skills’ workshop on Monday, 25 August, Harry will be providing the first four days of training for the ‘Life and Youth Coaching’ programme. This is the first time that this kind of training has ever been offered in Kosovo! Participants will go on to receive a UK-accreditation in Youth Coaching, and will also receive a Certificate in Life and Youth Coaching by the Youth Coaching Academy. The course begins on Wednesday, 27 August 2014, with four days of training at the Zenit School, close to Pristina. Harry will cover a number of important issues including effective learning and listening, how to manage your emotional state, coaching models, ethical coaching, and the rights of young people. After successful attendance at this four day course, you will have another six months of learning during which time you will be required to complete assignments for each module either in writing or via a presentation. You will also be required to complete and record practical, individual coaching sessions. All learners will be asked to complete a reflective essay. Your community will be assigned a Mentor Coach to support you throughout your studies, and you will have a minimum of one meeting per month. If you have read this far down the post and are interested in changing your life and the lives of others, and to be considered for a full scholarship, this is what you need to do: 1. Write 250 words about WHY you want to be a youth coach. What do you think you have that no-one else has? 2. In writing, tell us THREE STEPS that you will TAKE when you have qualified. How are you going to use your learning? Terms and conditions: - You must have attended one of the one-day ‘Essential Coaching Skills’ events (either those that were held in April, or the one to be held on Monday, 25 August). All training events will be held at the Zenit School, close to Pristina; - Applicants must be aged 14 or over; - All study/training costs and refreshments are included during the four day workshop and the six month programme; - Travel costs are NOT included and you will be responsible for organizing and financing your own transport to and from the venue in August; - All training will be held in the English language; - Scholarships are non-transferrable and cannot be replaced with cash; - Applications must be received by midnight on 30 June 2014; - All applications will be judged by an independent panel. The panel’s decision is final. Please contact: Ms. Gwyneth Letherbarrow at: gwyneth@lik-ks Also visit: lik-ks
