Would you like to live in a mushroom house? If you want to live in Bethesda, Maryland and you can spare $1.2 million, you can! Remodeled in 1974, this former 2 story stucco house was turned into something that looks like a mushroom from the outside, and is filled with caves and hidey-holes on the inside. Its also the subject of controversy. The material used to form all those imaginative shapes was polyurethane foam, a substance that many believe causes everything from asthma to cancer. And then theres the cave-like atmosphere. The homes few windows arent very large. Whether youd like to live there or not, its fun to view.
