Would you still be charitable if nobody ever found out. Do you know how to do a good thing while remaining anonymous? If were not careful we can become fueled by positive accolades. While they, in and of themselves, are not a bad thing, anything that takes the place of God is an idol. Sometimes God will put you in position where no boasting will be allowed. You will have to do that what you do through the compelling of Christ and that will have to be enough. For many years I felt compelled to tell somebody when I led somebody to Christ. Its not a bad thing to share such information. . In fact, its very encouraging all around. Everybody rejoices. The problem was, I was looking for the compliments. These days, by Gods grace, I can truly leave some things unsaid as Kingdom business. And I think thats the way that God often likes it. .hence: Matthew 6:3-4 NLT But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
