Wouldnt Philo who lived during the time of Yahushua know when New - TopicsExpress

Wouldnt Philo who lived during the time of Yahushua know when New Moon was? At this point in time and because of the lack of prophets now, I dont think anything should be set in concrete and we should have an open mind. This makes sense. lunarsabbath.info/id50.html Wouldnt Philo know? The beginning of your lunar months, which begins immediately after conjunction, but in the same day of it. It is a fact that the beginning of a lunar month/moon is the beginning of a new lunar cycle, no matter what solar day it occurs in, and that solar day, the one that the beginning of the month falls in, is the day of the new moon/month. Any day after the beginning of the lunar month day, the day in which it began in, is not the day of the beginning of the lunar month, or new moon. The above verse can be understood as, in the day of, or the day belonging to, the beginning of your months, which months can begin anywhere in the solar day. The day in which the beginning of your months occurs, is synonymous with new moon, when the trumpet is blown. Philo, who lived during the time of the New Testament, also says the new moon is the beginning of the lunar month. He also says the conjunction happens on the day of the new moon in each month. THE SPECIAL LAWS,11 page 572 verse [41]. The above interpretation of Philo is verified on page 581 THE SPECIAL LAWS,11, verse [142]. It states that “the law has honored the end of its orbit, the point when the moon has finished at the beginning point from which it began to travel, by having called that day a feast” The above is speaking of none other than the conjunction day. Philo could not have made it any clearer, as to which day they honored as a new moon feast, during the time of the New Testament.
