Wow - did I oversleep today (oh, not til now... but til 10:30). Had nothing to do today that needed to be done on a schedule, but sheesh... Im sure it had nothing to do with spending the night before last fending off Japanese lady beetles that were falling onto my face, into my mouth, and crawling around in my covers biting me. Or wandering around the house last night looking or the odd, not-quite-burning, but unidentifiable so therefore worrisome smell, only to figure out (at about 4:30 this morning), that it was the result of having smashed several of said lady bugs on my pillow. I can safely say that at this moment, Japanese lady beetles are not only on my list - but on a list all their very own. That the great majority of them got dead somewhat makes up for it, but dang... why *my* attic?? And why in October? Seems like bad planning, all round.
