Wow - has it been a busy start to the production season! Two camera units are filming all the monasteries around the Paro valley. We also got invited by the Royal Bhutan Army and the Queen Mother to film the Druk Wangyel Festival at Dochula pass yesterday, with some fabulous masked dances with the backdrop of Jichu Drake and Jomolhari peaks. (Today it was snowing there!) Another two camera units are filming the Winter Festival in Gangtok, Rumtek and the monasteries and views around that part of Sikkim. Our Hornbill Festival crews return tomorrow after a month in Nagaland, having also filmed the giant chess at Dimapur, and the pineapple cultivation and bushmeat markets around there. Yet another crew films an apiary project in Punjab while one more crew heads to Ahmedabad for a Gujarati thali of content tomorrow! This, while were still putting up our recently filmed Sonepur Mela footage from Bihar, the Panyor River festival and orange cultivation footage from Arunachal, Pangong Tso in winter from Ladakh, Sangai from Imphal, Manipur, and the Neemrana Opera retrospective right here in Delhi!
