Wow - it really is starting to seem that the definition of liberals and conservative that we have grown up with in America is starting to switch (again, if you know political history.) Heres a liberal web site arguing that at some point those in need have to help themselves. I used to hear the same accusations against the Democratic party, with Republican friends saying that Democrats just want to keep poor people poor and dependent on government, or else they would lose their base. Now the Republicans are being accused of the same thing: keep people ignorant and angry to stay in power. I would seriously love to hear from anyone who disagrees with what this article is saying -- do you disagree or agree that the GOP has really gone off the tracks in the way that this article describes?
