Wow - what a weekend! I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone involved with Byrdfest 8. There are so many people who make this event possible that its impossible to list everyone. I want to thank Pam Byrd and Zen and the whole Byrds Adventure Crew for all of their hard work. It is a tough job and they worked their asses off around the clock and opened their property and hearts for us all. Thanks to Monte with MJ sound and his whole crew. Thanks to Haney and the entire stage crew. They worked countless hours moving heavy equipment! Big thank you to Gene and Anne Tebeau. They kept the crew and the bands fed VERY well throughout the entire event. I wanted to thank all of the bands. I felt like every act was high quality. I was able to catch at least a little bit of every act and was very impressed. Thank you for all of the folks involved with the workshops. I can say that I have never seen more people participating at workshops then I did this weekend. I loved the rock balancing. That was the one clinic that I definitely wanted to attend but was too busy to. Thanks to Hippy Bobby for being the campfire chief, running my cameras for me, and being the rock of support that I have needed throughout the past two events. Thanks to Allan and Sarah for doing a great job keeping the bathrooms clean. Thanks to Chris for emptying the trash cans. Thanks to Brent for helping out folks in their times of need. Thanks to Katie for setting up the vendors. Thanks to Fletch and John the fisherman for their hard work. I gave them the dirty jobs and they got them done! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support this event. The vibe was AWESOME! The people are the friendliest group of people I have ever encountered. It has been an amazing experience hosting Byrdfest. I will never forget this experience! Lastly and most important, I want to thank Jimmy Tebeau for giving me his support to keep the tradition of Byrdfest going. Jimmy has made sacrifices for all of us who have enjoyed his events in the past. It is time to give back to him! I hope EVERY ONE OF YOU shows up for his first show back in St. Louis. This is how we can show our support for him. Attendance is mandatory for you all! I love you all and I hope you all have a great summer! https://facebook/events/772054472812644/
