Wow- #ShannonWatts and Bloomberg have just failed on levels I wasnt even aware existed. Their new video for #EveryClown (oops #Everytown) is probably the best pro-gun advertisement I have ever seen. In it a woman is on the phone with police while her kid is crying on the sofa. Her crazed ex husband is kicking in the door. She has a restraining order according to the video. The guy busts in the door, snatches up the kid and she unsuccessfully tries to take him back. The guy pulls out a Glock and sticks it in her face. The video fades to black with a loud bang. So what has Shannon taught us in this video? If you call 911 the chances they will show up in time are slim Restraining orders do not restrain someone determined to cause harm The police wont be there to protect you Women are victims of domestic violence because they are typically smaller and weaker than men The most important lesson one can glean from this video is that if the woman had a gun she could have stopped both the kidnapping and the attack on her person. She could have shot her violent, crazed and abusive ex-husband as soon as he committed the felony of breaking and entering while he was in the fatal funnel- thereby saving her life and the life of her child. So here is a shout out to #MomsDemand, Everytown and #DemandAction for producing such a wonderful teaching tool for 2nd Amendment advocates everywhere. It seems youve finally gotten some #gunsense after all.
