Wow! After having several hours excruciating pain that, despite several medication trials, had no relief for dad....we finally found the right combination of meds. He is resting and will continue to get his PCA (continuous and inject doses), valium, percocet, and a phentanal patch (in addition to his scheduled pre-op pain medication twice daily). I dont think I have ever seen him in that much pain and I never want to again. He is so strong, so I cant imagine how intense the pain was. Mom came up so I could run home for a while, we will take shifts. Thanks for all your calls, texts, messages, and supportive posts. I am truely blessed.
