Wow! Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer is the latest elected official to withdrawal their endorsement of Betsy Butler in the race to succeed Ted Lieu in California’s 26th State Senate seat by releasing the following statement: “Today I am officially withdrawing my endorsement of Betsy Butler’s campaign for State Senate district 26. I was gravely disheartened by Ms. Butler’s actions at the California Democratic Party’s Pre-Endorsement Conference, which prevented the Party from endorsing a candidate in California’s 62nd Assembly District. Ms. Butler’s actions displayed poor judgment and therefore I cannot support her campaign.” Assemblyman Jones-Sawyer is the latest in a growing list of Assembly members withdrawing their endorsement of Betsy Butler in the race for Californias 26th State Senate district. In recent weeks, Assembly members Isadore Hall and Chris Holden also revoked their support of Butler.
