Wow. Bobby Womack died. Weve been listening to his smooth sounds for years. Many of his songs you know, but never knew the artist. My friend Leroy Slam Dunkley once stayed up really late listening to his albums. I had actually been listening to him just two nights ago with Adam Evans. He was a pioneer of soul and R&B and I will miss him very much. The beauty of being a musical artist is that the artist may pass on, but the music is always there for us to remember and enjoy and share our little connections. I recall driving around San Diego with Wes Page listening to these oldies and feeling like kings. Soul music (true soul music) has so much to offer and to see one of our legends pass is the beginning of the end of a very special era. I love you all.
