Wow, Congress didnt think of the bureaucratic hurdles, logistical arduousness, and product lines that didnt exist when they mandated PTC? No. Freaking. Way. What they dont talk about in the video are the minor things that can bring the entire system to its knees (or at the very least disrupt the hell out of it). Lets see the first time the air conditioner on a signal bungalow goes out on the Transcon, or a rat bites through a cable in a box on the Overland Route. Who gets to answer to that? Certainly not the people that mandated this. Seems like 8 Billion dollars could be used on something that actually makes it safer to work out here, rather than this marginally safer joke of a traffic control apparatus.
