Wow! Fewer than 13% of Americans are without health insurance. Just a year ago that number was 17%. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, fewer and fewer Americans find themselves a doctor’s visit away from bankruptcy. I was glad to see that the uninsured rate decreased most dramatically among lower-income Americans as well as Hispanic families, since this means the Affordable Care Act is really helping families in the San Fernando Valley get access to good, affordable health care. The positive effects of the ACA are undeniable. All Americans should have access to quality health care, no matter how much they make.
