Wow. I... I just... Wow. Some big-wig at Patreon sent me a personal email to congratulate me on my campaign launch. Apparently theyve been translating my tweets to keep up with my Patreon launch. To get this many pledges (as of this writing, $1768 a month, in recurring Paypal payments every 1st of the month) in just over 24 hours is BEYOND humbling. Id never in a million years imagine that this whole writing jokes/making silly YouTube videos thing would one day put me through college, but apparently 205 kind internet strangers deemed my work worthy of monthly recurring financial support. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. i.gyazo/1cd19ad34e8d2c6949820987939b3123.png Whats even more incredible, is that there are people complaining that I should have more $50/month contribution slots open, since the 4 I had up sold out within a few hours. And thats because I had to lower from the original 10 spots, because if you add up the contribution rewards, Ill have to spend roughly 20 hours making Skype calls to the pledgers (that was one of the rewards), and I just cant make the time anymore. Ill be busy as HELL in the coming weeks because these magnificent bastards blew through every one of my milestones goals in under 12 hours. I actually had to make up some more goals, and THOSE were beaten as well. Any day that Im feeling down, or wondering what Ive done with my life, or just generally feeling depressed that my immigration process took SO LONG that here I am, at the edge of 30 and still just going back to school... Ill remember this day. I remember the day that a bunch of people offered me money for a content I always made for free, just so that I can keep making it. Ill remember that the last 10 years werent a waste of my time; that Ive been making something that has helped and entertained thousands and, I like to imagine, made their days a little bit better. Sometimes life kicks your ass. Sometimes life is awesome. Today is one such day. I wish I could give back more than just more videos, more articles, giveaways and skype calls.
