Wow...I dont agree with this manager. Whether someone is Serve Safe certified or not, if the food they are serving is unsafe, its every employees job to check it out and report it. Im glad this young man stepped up for the people that eat there. Im sorry that he lost his job. In my opinion, he needs to be promoted to manager! I stopped eating at any Golden Corral years ago because their food quality went downhill. A note to the manager: when you work in food service, your job is important. People need to eat everyday...and a meal is more than the food. Its who your with, where your at, and the experience your having. It feeds the body, mind and soul. If you treat every person that comes through your doors as the most important person in the world and use that attitude in preparing their food, youll be successful. Maybe youve been in the business so long that you no longer feel valued or appreciates yourself, but youve got to take this opportunity to see your job in a different light. Be proud of this young man for showing you that you can be better!
