Wow...I had a nice long conversation with Aunt Gracie today... She is blunt...straight forward...honest...and somewhat brash...But Lord have mercy... that woman is wise...wise...wise... I do not always agree with everything that she says...which is only natural considering that she helped to raise me... But I can tell you this...dont NO idle or foolish talk..e out of that womans mouth... She be tellin the nitty gritty...raw dog truth with no sugar coating or sprinkles...!!! We used to argue and debate a lot...but the older I get...the more I recognize the wisdom in sometimes just listening carefully to what she has to say...and take heed...!!! Both her and Momma are still going strong...active and in their right minds...now richer from the wisdom of the both being into their 80s now...!!! They got that spirit from Grand Momma Goldie...cause even in her 90s youd be hard pressed to tag her as an old woman...outside of considering her age... Sharp minded and very discerning and perceptive... Mommas hearing is gettin bed...but like with Grand Daddy R.E. Williams you would still be wise to be careful what you say in her presence...cause she always seems to hear more than you think she does...Momma dont miss a beat...and neither does her Sister... It is a blessing in 2015 with so many now passed on...it is a blessing indeed to have them both not just still around hanging on....but alive and active...living life and still blessing the lives of others... I of course got a stern admonishment and lecture...as always... Yeh Auntie be straight punkin me tough...and I fold like a grape leaf... I used to fold cause I was really and truly afraid of her, Aunt Shearon...My Momma...and Grand Momma cause they all helped raise me and have lets just say put hands on a lil brutha when it was called for...real tough... Hey maybe I am not still scairt...West Side... So for the sake of my macho ego I would like to believe that I now fold in thanks giving...(I aint no punk...LOL..Wink!) Hey what however and however it maybe...I just wanted to take a moment to write a lil word of fond apreciation for these two strong Williams women in particular who raised me...and all of the others.... Shout out to Cousin Yvonne who is more like my Aunt and Mr. Liddell...(cool dude)...and those who have passed away like Uncle Sweets...Uncle Paul... Aunt Shearon (a very very special lady in my life forever...took me in straight outta jail into her home...) Grand Momma...and Grand Daddy and all the other wonderful family members who I have had the pleasure of metting and hanging out with... Especially at the last two reunions... OK I tend to ramble ...and think I am on a roll... So thats all folks......
