Wow! I just found this photo of Kate Bornstein and I 20+ years ago when we toured the country in her brilliant, groundbreaking play Hidden: A Gender. After each show we had amazing conversations with our audiences about gender expression everywhere we went. We covered a lot of ground politically and geographically from little, tiny performance spaces in Northern California to major Ivy league universities. Im so thrilled shell be back onstage with me to celebrate the beginning of my 20th year in New York City on June 10th at Le Poisson Rouge. Kate gave birth to me in a way, just like she has with so many other trannies. Back then she was accused of setting the womens movement back 100 years! This week she was accused of setting the trans right movement back 50 years! She must be doing something right!!! I LOVE YOU KATE BORNSTEIN!!!!! THANK YOU FOR TAKING US BACK TO THE FUTURE OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
