Wow. I just read a post that said the US is now more the $18 trillion in debt. So I did a bit of number hunting to waste a bit of time and came up with the following: At the beginning of 2014 there were about 317 million people. There are approximately 9.63 million millionaires in the US. This represents nearly $10 trillion shared among 3% of the total population. Obviously, these are not the ones that owe the $18 trillion dollars. That is what is owed by the 97%, or the more than 307 million NON-millionaires in the US. So, doing some quick calculations, every person in the US that is NOT an America Millionaire is in debt for MORE THAN $58,600. Looking at those figures, I see 3 choices for US citizens: Be a millionaire... Be in debt... Be somewhere else. just saying.
