Wow... I so needed to read this this evening. I feel in my heart I am a good mom. I do everything for my kids. I know people frown at the fact that I let my kids spend a night or two with my father and mother in law. I have really let it bother me to the point I didnt want people to know when they were there. I started to just stop caring. The fact of the matter is, my kids LOVE going. They absolutely love their Punkin. Im so thankful they are able to have a relationship with their grandparents like they do. I lived so far from my grandparents and I never got to have that time with them. I dont necessarily need the time alone but I wont deny that its nice. Im not out partying, Im not out running around or anything like Im pawning them off. We usually stay home, clean house and catch up on sleep (haha)! Or the weeks I have with Taylor, I make that time for just her. She loves that time. Everyone parents differently, everyone! No parent is perfect and we all do something different. Thats what makes us unique and our kids unique. As long as kids are not in danger, no parent should be judged or thought of as a bad parent just because they do things differently than you. I bet if you look down to it, there are a few skeletons in your closet as a parent as well. Embrace the difference in parenting. We can each learn from each other if wed stop judging or worrying what other people think.
